Johanniter-Unfall-Hilfe e.V. is looking for motivated Staff to join our DE Disaster Response Capacities for international disaster response missions on voluntary basis.
The German rescEU EMT Capacities will include an Intensive Care Unit Specialized Care Team, a Medical Laboratory, and a Psychosocial Support Specialized Care Team. These units are designed to complement local health facilities or international disaster response teams during sudden-onset emergencies by providing specialized expertise and strengthening existing capacities.
Alongside medical specialists, the role of the logistics officer is equally crucial. Logistics experts ensure that teams are fully self-sufficient, meaning they bring and manage their own transport, power, water, shelter, communication, equipment, and supplies. This is essential to avoid placing any additional burden on the already strained local infrastructure during a disaster. By enabling the teams to operate independently under challenging conditions, logistics officers provide the operational backbone that makes effective medical response possible.
